Theme of the Week: Strength in the Storm
Some weeks don’t test one part of your life - they test every part at once.
This was one of those weeks, every time you thought your luck would get better it plummeted further downhill.
Between intense deal flow, with no sign of slow down and navigating office politics that would exhaust anyone, I’ve been reminded of one core truth:
strength isn’t loud - it’s consistent.
It’s the art of staying composed when your inbox is overflowing.
It’s handling men who underestimate you with surgical precision and results they can’t argue with.
It’s delivering under pressure when both your personal and professional worlds feel heavy.
This week reminded me that resilience isn’t about being unaffected, after all we are all human - it’s about staying aligned with who you are, even when the environment tries to shake you.
💭 Topic 1: Luxury, discipline and the inner world of a Wall Street girl
There’s something uniquely challenging about dealing with emotional load and professional pressure simultaneously.
You don’t get the luxury of pausing one for the other - you juggle both, gracefully or not, because that’s life.
A few reflections:
You can be overwhelmed and still execute at a high level. That’s not dysfunction - that’s talent.
Some people in the workplace will always try to test you. Whether it’s withholding information, creating friction, or subtle undermining - it’s rarely about you. It’s about your competence threatening their comfort, and something I seem to experience quite a lot as I fast-track to seniority.
Your composure is your power. People underestimate how strong you become when you learn to respond calmly, not emotionally (rest assured I do not have this one perfected!)
Pressure clarifies priorities. The noise falls away. What matters becomes sharper. One thing I know for certain is I would not change a single event, sequence or decision in my life - I truly truly believe that every door that closes (whether professionally or personally) leads to one more suited to you. As long as you never give up, develop self-awareness and learnings (oh boy something a LOT of people I’ve known do not do) and push on you will always end up where you’re meant to be.
This week was a reminder that being strong doesn’t mean pretending everything is fine when it’s not - it means still standing, still delivering, still choosing your vision, even when the circumstances are less than ideal.
🌿 Life Lately
Life has been a lot quieter outside of deal flow - and intentionally so.
I’ve been a keeping a very low profile, tightening my circle, shutting down any DMs and spending more time with the people who feel safe and genuine.
A few things filling my world right now:
Planning a very exciting birthday event and Christmas break - I LOVE hosting a celebration for my best friends every year and I never hold back… imagine personalised everything and a room full of love and you should get the idea. I will also be spending close to a month travelling over Christmas - somewhere luxurious, warm, grounding, and peaceful.
Reflecting deeply - on work, boundaries, what I want in a partner and direction.
Protecting my energy - less social noise, more inner calm.
Working extremely hard - deal flow is relentless, and most days feel like running at 200% capacity, but alongside WSGC it continues to give me purpose.
Prioritising physical and mental health - ok this one is ALWAYS on the list, but I’ve been more committed than ever to the lean life - early nights, workouts, nutrition, resetting my nervous system.
It’s a season of discipline, introspection, and preparation.
The kind of quiet chapter that usually precedes big breakthroughs.

📈 WSGC Take on the Markets
A quick pulse check on what’s happening across markets - and what it means in real terms:
Deal flow remains strong, with borrowers rushing to capture windows of stability.
→ WSGC Take: Credit spreads are alarmingly low and we continue to pound through deal after deal for our sponsor clients, all I would say is sit tight - because I fear a drop is not too far around the corner. This is NOT the time to liquidate your investments (outside of AI), remain long and prepare to be hit by a stormPrivate credit still dominating as sponsors seek flexibility.
→ WSGC Take: Optionality is the new power. Diversify your sources of leverage - emotional and financial.Macro sentiment remains fragile, but pockets of optimism are emerging.
→ WSGC Take: Markets and women have one thing in common - they thrive when underestimated.
💼 WSGC Community Launch

“There is no passion to be found in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.”
